Meet Tara Love

How you started and how you got to where you are today? How did you find your purpose?

My purpose and passion for writing has constantly developed over the years. I uncovered my passion for music at a young age. Musically, my journey started with purposeful beginnings by singing in church and school choirs. In 2019, my first exposure into the music industry began when I delved into songwriting and recording processes. Atlanta and my college life at Georgia State University is where my aspirations developed. I released my debut single, “Real Music,” and the song began gaining traction. I began pursuing a professional independent music career, but I also continued completing my college education.

I believe in my abilities and the power to reach the masses of individuals who resonate with my lyricism. I hope my music reflects my perspective, my understanding, and my passion for unification and self evaluation. I am capable of acknowledging my strengths and talent, and this helps me push forward and excel.

In 2020, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, with a minor in marketing, from Georgia State University. In 2021, I released an EP, “Decisive Moments.” In 2022, I laid the foundation for my own publishing company, Victor Publications LLC, marking a significant step forward in my musical endeavors. Tara Love Music is the registered name under the songwriting organization, (BMI) Broadcast Music, Inc.. In 2023, I celebrated over a year in business, released my debut album, “The Mirror,” and I earned a Master of Arts degree in Technical and Professional Writing from Middle Georgia State University. Currently, in 2024, I have upcoming musical and literary projects.

Could you elaborate on your current endeavors, highlighting what you find particularly exhilarating or distinctive about them? Additionally, could you share any noteworthy developments, such as upcoming events, product launches, or expansions, that you believe would be of interest to our readers?

Under the leadership of Victor Publications LLC, my musical projects include two EPs, "In Retrospect" and "Decisive Moments." Additionally, my debut album released on September 01, 2023, titled "T he Mirror." Creatively, the album represents self evaluation and self elevation. My debut literature publication, “Deleting Division: Adding Black Unity” is set for Summer 2024. This book serves to be educating and empowering.

How has your career journey been? Have you encountered any hardships or faced any challenges during your progresses?

My journey has included fluctuations, and I have always embraced the versatile flows with a spirit of optimism and ambition. In retrospect, I do wish I had launched my publishing company earlier on, but I have come to accept that fluctuations are part of every journey. Every challenge has been an opportunity to learn and grow, fueling my determination to push forward and seize new opportunities along the way.

The reward of life, from my perspective, is seeing my accomplishments. I have learned to live in each moment that life brings. I am truly thankful to God for blessing me with the gift of seeing my own growth. I am mastering nonconformity. I strive to be a versatile individual, who is continuously determined.

Which three qualities, skills, or areas of expertise do you believe had the most significant impact on your journey? What guidance would you offer to individuals who are at the outset of their journey on how they can effectively cultivate or enhance these aspects?

I was blessed with the gift of vocal ability. So, it was quite natural for an artistic path to occur during my lifetime. This gift has led me to crafting my own musical creations. My abilities To creatively connect are linked to the processes of realigning myself and reconfiguring my writings. It is imperative to develop and relearn. All must have knowledge of self, and I believe that energy is displayed into the art I release.

I am a spiritual-being now, but I grew up singing in Christian churches, being a member of a gospel group, and participating in chorus classes. I am experienced with keys, tone, and pitch, as well as sight-reading and harmonizing. All examples are essential skills for producing clear and compelling vocals. I feel that I have successfully mastered the utilization of recording equipments, such as pro-tools, and other features that are imbedded with it, for instance using reverb and layering melodies.

I advise everyone to follow through with their aspirations, and turn transition those ideas into actions. It is imperative to think critically and intelligently. Throughout the journey of life, ensure each step defines a goal and creates a plan to elevate abilities. My vision and mission plans are engraved into my mind and heart, and it motivates me to continuously be ambitious.

I learned the biggest areas of growth and improvement for myself, and one is acknowledging that I must be disciplined in my efforts. In the music industry, most vocalists do not succeed on solely having the talent. So, I must and advance my company's marketing methods. Additionally, I must practice and rehearse consistently to improve my vocal abilities, style techniques, and performances. I have a clear mental image of my purpose, which fuels my energy, passion, and intents. I am appreciative of all opportunities for development and improvement.

What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?

I am a conscious Black individual, a creatively gifted artist, a cultured intellectual, and a capable business owner. Musically, I specialize in blending various artistic mediums to convey powerful messages that resonate with myself and diverse audiences. I am known for my ability to infuse my creations with authenticity, emotion, and social commentary, shedding light on important issues while captivating audiences.

My lively personality introduced me to creating podcast content. My new podcast show, “Too Much To Handle Podcast with Tara Love” released in January 2024. The podcast episodes include versatile topics and is gaining viewership on YouTube. I am most proud of my commitment to using my artistic platform to advocate for change and promote inclusivity. My unwavering dedication to authenticity and my willingness to push boundaries creatively is what sets me apart from others. I am always striving to make a meaningful impact through my work.
